Artist Emily King released this great song in 2019 and recently performed a duet of it with Sara Bareilles. Here in New York City at a special evening of songs with the Marymount Manhattan musical theater singers, Sophie on guitar performed “Teach You” with roommates Mae and Delia, who opens the song. The lyrics are a simple message of how to treat others who are going through a tough time. “Call ’em up on the phone when they’re feeling blue. Light up with the words they say to you.”
